Okay - I know it's only one game and we have a long way to go yet, but you can put away those brooms. According to
The Record
the Devs have never been swept in the Playoffs (will have to check that out because I thought we had been) - I'm glad we didn't set a new precedent.
Tonights game will tell the tale and see if they truly have the right stuff this year. Carolina has been playing really well and they did come from a 2-0 deficit to beat Montreal, so I'm thinking that they know what we are up against and that it can be done.
Yesterday's game was fun to be at. Needless to say, I screamed myself silly. The Devs looked a bit tight for the first few minutes, but they seemed to relax and play their game once they scored. When Pando got the short-handed goal, I felt in my bones that the game was in the bag - but I was still nervous and trying not to think about it until the final buzzer.
My husband wore his old red and green home jersey for luck and it worked, so we'll see what happens now. I'm not making any predictions - just keeping my fingers crossed!
