A porch is a place
for comings and
goings ...
for hellos and goodbyes.
It is the Alpha and the Omega of a house.
Come on up and set a spell!
If this is the first time you've been here, I guess I should tell you that I don't stand on ceremony. Feel free to come and go as you please. Hang out for a while, or pick a link, then ease on down the road.
I guess that this is a good place to introduce myself, and tell you how I came to be on the web, as well.
On the right, you will find a floor plan of my house. I've grouped links and other tidbits I consider interesting in each of the rooms. To move into a room just select it from the image map or choose one from the list to the left.
The house image you saw on my home page was originally scanned from an old book of house plans. It was a sketch in black and white, which I then colored using PaintShop Pro. As I got more skilled in graphics, I redrew in CorelDraw 7 using many complex, custom fills. I imported it into Corel PhotoPaint 8 for the finishing touches. You can view the house in all its various permutations.
Just a word of warning - large file sizes might make this a long download
There may be some visitors who do not see my virtual home as it is intended to be seen. Sorry about that, but older browser versions do not support all the great styling tricks using Cascading Style Sheets can do. But I don't want to bore my non web-geek visitors with all this tech talk. If you want to read more about the changes and the history, check my colophon page - when I get around to completing it!.
