INGREDIENTS
2 - 2½ lb Beef Brisket
1 bottle or can of beer
2 Teaspoons Dijon or other spicy mustard
1 pkg onion soup mix
Flour to thicken gravy
Salt & pepper to taste |
DIRECTIONS
Place Brisket in a dutch oven.
Sprinkle onion soup over top, then add beer.
Cover and simmer over low flame/heat. Approx 3 hours.
Remove meat from pot, add mustard to gravy and thicken with flour
I like to serve this with baby carrots and Spaetzle or egg noodles. This recipe comes from my mother-in-law and is one of my husband's favorite cold weather meals. |
