Well the remodeling job is nearly complete, so the house is open for tours again. Please excuse the mess and do be careful, the paint is still wet. I've still got some furniture to move in so some of the rooms are a little bare. I'll be filling them soon enough.
Many of the changes are above the surface. You will notice new paint, wallpaper and furniture, but the big changes are underneath. These changes will not mean much to most of my visitors - most of you will not even notice them, but those of you who are web designers will notice that there are no tables supporting the structure of this site. I'm attempting to eliminate them as I go along with my renovations and move toward my goal of separating style from content.
There may be some visitors who do not see my home as it is intended to be seen. Sorry about that, but older browser versions do not support all the great styling tricks using Cascading Style Sheets can do.
But enough of that for now - I don't want to bore my non web-geek visitors with all this tech talk. If you want to read more about the changes and the history, check my colophon page.
There are lots of exciting new things going on here in my virtual house. Come on up on the porch, have a seat and I'll tell you all about it.
All of the written work and most of the graphics contained within this site are my own. Please do not take them for use on another page.

The original Victorian house was a scan from a book of old house plans. It was a sketch in black and white, which I then colored using PaintShop Pro. The image you see above was redrawn in CorelDraw 7 using many complex, custom fills. I imported it into Corel PhotoPaint 8 for the finishing touches.

Just a word of warning - large file sizes might make this a long download
